Product Description

Flip-Up Door Gas Spring for Cabinets & Industrial Panels — Smooth, Silent & Built to Last

Flip-Up Door Gas Spring enables steady motion for overhead panels. Suitable for kitchen cabinets, industrial machine guards and RV storage compartments, it solves heavy door weight, sudden drops and loud slamming issues. Founded in 2002, Xingtai Juxiang Machinery Manufacturing Factory produces gas springs with force from 300N to 1500N, stroke 30–500mm, extended length 150–1500mm, working temperature -40℃ to +80℃.

What Makes This Flip-Up Door Gas Spring Work?

Every flip-up door gas spring functions on a basic, but precise basis. The compressed nitrogen gas in a seamless steel cylinder applies a constant counterbalancing force on a piston to make the weight of the door or panel easier to move.

What makes this design is that it has a grounding structure built right in. A soft-stop effect is made when the door is fully open and the damping device takes in the remaining moving energy. This stops pops that come out of nowhere and protects the panel and the structure around it from damage from impacts.

The chrome-plated piston rod (diameters of Ø6, Ø8, Ø10 and Ø12mm) is matched with precision oil seals to guaranty the integrity of the nitrogen during tens of thousands of running cycles. Low pressure attenuation ensures that the support force remains the same – even after years of regular use.

Application Scenarios

Three primary settings that need controlled panel movement are suitable for this device.

The major sector is the production of furniture and kitchens. These springs are used in high-end overhead cabinets for handleless doors and a soft-open sensation; smooth closing shields frames from impact.

Control panel enclosures and industrial machine guards are difficult. Under intense industrial vibration, heavy flip-up lids on CNC machines and electrical enclosures require dependable position retention; failure here poses a safety concern.

The environment in RV, marine, and vehicle storage facilities are corrosive and vibrating. Seamless steel tubes and chrome-plated rods are resistant to corrosion and retain their sealing against continual motion, humidity, and salt air.

Additionally beneficial are medical devices and self-service equipment, where panel access has to be silent, seamless, and reproducible over thousands of cycles without maintenance.

Customization and B2B Supply

We adjust the tube diameter, connection type, force amount, and stroke length to suit panel weight and form. OEM and ODM orders are accepted, and technical help is provided for skewed mounting and limited-space installation. The factory oversees the whole production process, including tube forming, rod plating, airtightness, and damping testing, in order to ensure consistent batch performance and predictable lead times. The minimum order quantity for trial batches and large volume contracts is 50 units.

FAQ

Q1: How can the necessary force be determined?

A: Use the formula based on the hinge mounting distance, gravity center, and door weight. Provide the weight and measurements of the door, and our staff will assist with the computation.

Q2: In which direction should the piston rod be installed?

A: Point the rod down while installing. This prolongs the seal's service life, retains internal oil at the seal region, and maintains consistent damping.

Q3: Does force output fluctuate with temperature?

A: Yes. For every 10°C change, force changes by around 3–4%. Fluctuations between -40°C and +80°C are reduced by high-purity nitrogen filling.

Q4: When should the gas spring be changed?

A: Replace if abnormal noise, oil residue on the piston rod, or the panel's inability to remain open are indicators of seal failure.

Q5: Is it possible to alter the force and stroke for non-standard panels?

A: Yes. Unique door weight and mounting arrangements may be accommodated with custom force, stroke, and end fittings.
