Product Description

Gas Spring Damper for Industrial & Automotive Applications — Precision Damping Solutions by Juxiang

Founded in 2002, Xingtai Juxiang focuses on gas spring motion control technology. Our Gas Spring Damper integrates nitrogen support and oil-flow damping in one compact unit, delivering stable, silent motion control for various harsh working scenarios. Widely used in automotive, medical, furniture and industrial equipment, it features 50N–500N force range, 30–350mm stroke and -40℃ to +80℃ working temperature. With a 50-piece MOQ, we provide full stroke, force and fitting customization to support OEM and ODM orders.

What Is a Gas Spring Damper and How Does It Work?

A Gas Spring Dampers are hydropneumatic parts that provide both lifting help and deceleration control, in contrast to regular gas springs that simply offer supporting force. Internal nitrogen pressure provides supporting force, and regulated oil pores modify movement speed during the stroke. This construction is appropriate for long-term high-cycle operating scenarios demanding smooth and steady movement because it prevents uncontrolled bouncing, vibration, and slamming damage to equipment parts.

Key Product Features and Design Advantages

The product maintains steady damping output in repeated cycles to smooth operation and lower noise, fitting automated production lines and frequent-use medical cabinets. Seamless steel tubes and QPQ-treated piston rods reduce internal gas and oil leakage, resisting friction and corrosion to extend service life. Single-way and two-way damping modes are optional to adapt to closing, push-pull and lifting mechanisms. Compact and lightweight structure allows installation in narrow equipment spaces that traditional hydraulic structures cannot accommodate.

Applications Across Industries

gas spring dampers adapt to multiple industrial application scenarios with strict motion control requirements. For automotive equipment, they deliver soft-close effect for hoods and tailgates, stably operating in low-temperature regions. On CNC machinery and automated devices, they absorb kinetic energy of safety baffles to protect operators and equipment. They also suit silent adjustment of medical equipment, cyclic opening and closing of furniture and self-service equipment, as well as lightweight damping needs for aerospace and rail transit facilities.

Quality Control Standards

All products pass full performance testing before delivery. Damping curve parameters are calibrated within ±5% tolerance. Endurance testing covers 50,000–100,000 cycles to verify stable force output and sealing performance. Temperature cycling tests confirm normal operation in extreme cold and heat. Dimensional calibration and salt spray testing ensure adaptability for outdoor, humid and corrosive working environments.

FAQ

Q1: What is the correct installation direction?

A: Rod-down installation is recommended to keep internal oil lubricating seals and maintain stable damping performance.

Q2: Can damaged gas spring dampers be repaired?

A: No, products are factory-sealed. Leakage or force decay means replacement is required, and disassembly is not allowed.

Q3: How does temperature affect damping performance?

A: Internal pressure changes with temperature, with force rising about 3.5% per 10°C increase. Our specifications adapt to -40℃ to +80℃ temperature changes.

Q4: What leads to early product failure?

A: Mounting misalignment causing side load, rod surface scratches and seal contamination will shorten service life.

Q5: Is damping speed adjustable? What is the MOQ?

A: Standard models are fixed-speed, with adjustable custom versions available. The MOQ is 50 PCS, with lead time confirmed by order specifications.
